Waystations on the Management's search for suitable toys.
A selection of sources for toys usable in Parroom Station adventures as well as other Victorian Scientific Fictional escapades. As fine as these toys can be, don't neglect toy stores, especially discount operations, as a source of cool (and often cheap) versions of things that (with just a little work) can be the very float ship or battle strider you want.
Where to Find Useful Toys for VSF Adventures:
Major-General Tremorden Reddering's Colonial Wargaming Page
Not a store, but the Major-General's site is a valuable resource nevertheless. A seminal inspiration and perennial favorite of Station Management. The Major-General's site offers a wealth of useful material for "doing it yourself," especially for those gaming on a budget. Visit the Major-General's web page.
The London War Room
A source for flying ships, landships, and for the guns and fittings for them (from the Weapons for Gunboats that Float and Fly line) as well as the manufacturer of Parroom Station Miniatures. Visit TLWR's site.
Brigade Games
Producers of the official G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. figures. They carry a number of other ranges that have the occassionally useful goodie. Visit Brigade's site.
Scheltrum Miniatures Ironclad Empires from Model, Design and Craft
Notable for its assortment of Steam Tech style vehicles and its Aethyr troopers and equipment. Station Management especially likes the look of the Tunneling Machine and the HMLS Nestor. Visit Scheltrum's site.
Wargames Foundry
Adventurers and troops abound, especially from Darkest Africa. Visit the Foundry site.
Copplestone's Castings
Now one can Return to Darkest Africa directly in the company of the sculptor who took you there in the first place. You might even find something useful in the Back of Beyond. Visit Coppelstone's site.
Pulp Figures
Strictly speaking these characterful figures from Ssculptor Bob Murch are past our time, but some are timeless (or maybe just ahead of ours, like any good mad scientist ought to be.) Visit Two-fisted Murch's site.
Old Glory
For masses of Colonial and Territorial troops, here's a ofttimes good source. Their Boxer Rebellion is an especially wide-ranging line covering the forces of the Colonial Powers. Visit the site.
The Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company
Alas, not the source it used to be, but it is said that their Home Service Troops for the British Isles and colonial troops for the German Empire are still secretly available. Visit the Company's site.
RLBPS
An importer of numerous figure and scenery lines, notably an importer of Copplestone Castings and HLBS Co. Visit Mr. Bowling's site.
Dixon Miniatures
Station Management especially likes the Foreign Legion troopers in tropical campaign kit Visit Dixon's site.
Reviresco
Station Management would be remiss in not directing you to check out the Martian war machine, even though the octopoid operator is not quite one of our Cephalids. Visit Dixon's site.
